The Sunriver Fire Department is involved in many community activities and events. On the 4th of July the department host’s the Annual Fire Firefighters Barbecue at Fort Rock Park. This fun-filled event for people of all ages is a great opportunity to enjoy some excellent firefighter cooking, check out the department’s trucks and engines and view other equipment and displays from nearby agencies. In August the department, in conjunction with the Sunriver Police Department, hosts the annual Public Safety Day at the Sunriver Village. Open to all community members and visitors, this event is a great crowd pleaser with exciting demonstrations and an opportunity to see the various services and programs provided by Sunriver public safety agencies.
